West Valley Child Crisis Center is a state contracted provider agency to deliver the required training for you to become a foster, kinship or adoptive parent. Foster, adoptive and kinship parents must attend an Orientation and Parenting for Safety and Permanency Model Approach to Partnerships in Parenting (PS-MAPP) classes to become licensed. PS-MAPP classes are offered in a variety of formats such as once a week (three hours classes) for ten weeks or enroll in our fast-track sessions which run for six weeks (six hour sessions).
Once licensed, foster and adoptive parents must complete six hours of Advanced Training Educational Workshops to remain in licensing compliance.
