Our Services

While West Valley Child Crisis Center (WVCCC) provides foster/adopt services throughout Maricopa County, WVCCC is currently the only program located in the West Valley.

According to The Dave Thomas Foundation:

"Every year, nationally, over 140,000 children linger in the foster care system waiting to be adopted. Each year, 24,000 of these foster children will turn eighteen or age out without being adopted."

More than 10,000 Arizona children are placed in out-of-home care. We have recruited and trained 60+ foster/adoptive families to provide children and youth in need with foster or adoptive homes. Our aggressive recruitment and training efforts continue as we strive to increase our number of foster/adoptive families.

Our Foster Care & Adoption Program is licensed by the State of Arizona. Services include:

• Recruiting and prescreening families to become foster or adoptive homes
• Matching children and youth in need with loving families
• Training, support and licensing of families
• Advanced training and licensing for families who desire to care for children and youth that

   are medically fragile
• Private adoptions
• Step-parent / kinship adoptions
• DES adoptions - through the Department of Economic Security

WVCCC assesses no application fees to foster or adoptive parents. WVCCC does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, or religion.

WVCCC is a member of the KIDS Consortium (1-877-KIDSNEEDU) in Arizona.
